　In the spring of 1973, a prehistoric cultural relic was discovered on the platform on the north bank of Xinkaihe River in Huanggu District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, which opened the prelude to the excavation of Xinle Site. After five field archaeological excavations on the site from 1973 to 1993, it was determined that the site was distributed in an area of about 178,000 square meters. 44 relics of the lower floors of Xinle were discovered, and more than 3,000 various relics were unearthed. The upper part of the early cultural relics in Shenyang was determined. The cultural accumulation and basic characteristics of the three layers of, middle and lower.

　　The upper-class culture of Xinle is mainly represented by polished stoneware and plain pottery, 鬲, 甗, etc., 3,000-4,000 years ago. The middle-class culture is mainly represented by polished stone axes, fine stone tools, and pottery pots, pots and bowls with piled patterns, about 5,000 years ago. The connotation of Xinle’s lower-level culture mainly consists of the Neolithic cultural accumulation layer with semi-crypted building residential sites and stamped "Zigzag" pattern pottery, fine stoneware, stoneware, polished stoneware, and coal refined products as the main relics. It is about 7200 years now. The lower-level culture of Xinle, with rich cultural connotations and distinctive local characteristics, is a typical representative of Xinle culture.

　　 After the museum was built in 1984, the basic display of the museum has been adjusted, remodeled and updated many times to meet the needs of the times. In April 1994, ten semi-crypt primitive buildings in the site area were restored, and an archaeological excavation site was retained. The house site reproduces the production and life scenes of the ancestors of Xinle, such as collective deliberations, slaughtering and hunting, and experience the life and wisdom of the ancestors of the ancient village. Built in 1998, it is 21 meters high (symbolizing the 21st century) and covered with gold leaf. It can be called the sunbird sculpture that was the landmark of Shenyang City Hall Square at that time. It is designed based on the wood carving artwork of cultural relics in our museum. Moved back to Xinle site in May 2010. After visiting, the audience can take a leisurely break to view the entire sculpture and show people the profound cultural and historical heritage of Shenyang.
